Im currently researching CIID.
I'm looking into neo-retro and 50s design. Its hard to find resources on neo -retro design as when a company take a design from the past and modify it they don't use the term neo retro, so its a matter of sifting through magazines but I think I will need to know more of 50s design before I can look at an object and say thats from the 5os. The problem I'm having with researching 50s design is spotting what is from the 50s from what is from the 60s, I've confused them a few times. I would say 60s design is more colourful? I've ordered a book on 50s design '50s decorative arts' from Taschen. I need to gain an understanding of 50s shapes and forms.
